On 21st September 2024, a Natures Verdict colleague conducted an information session for the community of Eungella and the surrounding areas, which are being negatively impacted socially, environmentally and economically by the ill-located proposed Pioneer Burdekin Pumped Hydro renewable energy.
The area targeted is part of a 20 million year old ancient rainforest, full of threatened and endemic species, both flora and fauna, and pristine water ways at the highest level of conservation.
